Is the line between supplements and functional foods graying? What differentiates these two categories of products — is it format or function and is that difference important to the consumer? Launching a new functional food or supplement product into the mainstream market requires substantial investment. Companies need to differentiate products so that manufacturers, distributors and consumers understand what makes them unique and beneficial. This panel will explore the convergence of the supplement and functional food sectors and how companies can effectively build and position their product in this increasingly confused space.
